Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation is ready to honour Mr Boniface Ebewo, the Founder and Creative Advisor of Real Brass Nigeria, with a prestigious award.
The award tagged: Lifetime Achievement Award – NWCDA 2024 would be conferred on Ebewo in recognition of his ground-breaking contributions to the creative industry in the country.
The award letter dated September 6, 2024 and signed by Olaniyan Olushola, President of the foundation, said ‘‘We are honored to formally invite you to the 2024 Nigeria Wikimedia Community Distinguished Award (NWCDA) ceremony, where you will be recognized with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Olushola noted ‘‘This award is a testament to your remarkable service to humanity and your groundbreaking contributions to the promotion of open knowledge in Nigeria.

The award dinner is scheduled for September 12, 2024, at 6 p.m, at Exclusive Serene Hotel and Suites, Abuja.
Ebewo’s distinguished career, spanning 16 years, has been marked by innovative achievements in expanding the creative domain of the entertainment industry, providing employment opportunities, and driving human capacity development.
His scholarly pursuits, including his ongoing Ph.D studies, underscore his commitment to academic rigour and industry expertise.
This milestone event marks a significant achievement in Mr Ebewo’s academic and professional journey, highlighting his status as a leading scholar and creative icon.
Ebewo joined the service of Akwa Broadcasting Corporation with starting the AM station then in Abak at the back and FM station 90.5 FM, Uyo.
He served as a presenter as Duty Continuity Announcer trained by the authorities of the Radio Nigeria Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
In 2004, the entertainment buff was transferred from AKBC to Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board, before he notched the idea to form the Real Brass.
