Nigeria has recorded two deaths owing COVID-19 infections, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed.
In addition, the country recorded new 246 COVID-19 cases from nine states including Federal Capital Territory.
In its Twitter handle, (NCDC) stated “On the 27th of November 2020, 246 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
“The 246 new cases are reported from 10 states- Lagos (81), FCT (73), Plateau (39), Kaduna (25), Ogun (13), Bauchi (5), Rivers (4) Ekiti (2), Taraba (2) and Kano (2).
On the caseloads of the pandemic, the health agency tweeted “Till date, 67,220 cases have been confirmed, 62,686 cases have been discharged and 1,171 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
“A multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
Meanwhile, NCDC says “Our discharges today include 71 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.

The NCDC was established in the year 2011 in response to the challenges of public health emergencies and to enhance Nigeria’s preparedness and response to epidemics through prevention, detection and control of communicable diseases.
