President Muhammadu Buhari jetted out of Nigeria to United Kingdom for the sixth time in six years for routine medical check-up on Tuesday, March 30.

Buhari’s aide on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu who broke the news said the President is expected back in the country in the second week of April.

However, some Nigerians have expressed anger that Buhari left without resolving the nationwide strike by resident doctors and without caring to fix the country’s ailing health-care system for the common people.

Reno Omokri, a former Presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan, had to fly into London on April 2 to campaign #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon protest and was later joined by Omoyele Sowore, a campaigner of #BuhariMustGo action.

The two anti-Buhari teams stormed the area with placards with inscriptions that read ”Buhari Must Go”. They also used paint to write the same on a wall in the environment.

They took the protest to Nigerian House in London and later converged at Wellington Hospital, London to order Buhari tor return home to fix the healthcare system.

Later, Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, shared photos and videos of Nigerians staging a pro-Buhari rally at the Abuja house in the UK on Monday, April 5.

This came days after Reno Omokri led some Nigerians to stage an anti-Buhari protest in front of Abuja house in the United Kingdom where President Buhari is staying for his routine medical checkup.

Meanwhile, some residents of Kogi State Monday, April 5 flogged two men for staging a #BuhariMustGo protest in the state.

They were, however, intercepted by some youths in the area who told them that Kogi state is for Buhari and that such a protest is not welcomed.

The youths used whips to flog the men and ordered them to clean the anti-Buhari declaration written on the wall.

Disappointed by this show of shame by Nigerians in London, Abiodun Bello, a Twitter user on Monday, April 4 wrote ”Nigerians are absolutely dramatic.

”While a section of Nigerians in London was at the Abuja house to insult and lay curses on the President some others are there to pray for his health, success and God’s guidance in steering the country,’’ he tweeted.
