Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has secured an additional $700 million loan from the World Bank to boost adolescent girls learning and empowerment, according to The ICIR. The loan, according to the Bank, will support the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment programme among girls in some targeted states. As a way of engendering rural development, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has appointed 372 personal assistants. The aides, who were picked from each ward from the 31 local government areas of the state, are in addition to about 30 already existing aides. Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed Ministry of Works and Fire Service to construct Ikot Obiokpoho Road in Ukanafun linking Etim Ekpo Local Government Area. Governor Eno announced the road construction during a funeral service for Bishop Moswill Umoh, the founder of Rapture Trust Gospel Ministries held at Government Primary School, Ikot Obio Okpoho in Ukanafun Local Government Area on Saturday.
