Six suspects involved in indecent assault of a widow for allegedly causing her husband’s death in Eziagulu-Otu, Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area are in police custody.  Recall that the widow accused of killing her husband by having extra marital affairs, was beaten, stripped naked by her in-laws and forced to swear an oath before their deity. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has arrested 14 suspected vandals of adulterated Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) in Akwa Ibom. Moreover, it says it has impounded 170, 000 litres of suspected adulterated Automotive Gas Oil. A 38-year-old hunter from Akwa Ibom State has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for illegal possession of firearms. Edet Akpan George, married with eight children, was convicted Friday by Ibiono Ibom High Court in the state. A 300-level student of the University of Jos at the weekend committed suicide over the ongoing strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) nationwide.
