The House of Representatives has directed Central Bank of Nigeria to halt the implementation of its new policy on cash withdrawals limit from banks. Consequently, the lawmakers have summoned the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele over the apex bank’s new policy. The spirit of a 13-year-old girl who died during abortion has hunted a man leading to his arrest by Nsit Ubium Division of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command. Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko MacDon stated this in a press release on Thursday said the police apprehended one Sunday George Sampson impregnated the girl child and secretly procured an abortion for her and she died in the process. For the second time, the Cross River State High Court has ordered the Nigerian Police to arrest and produce a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Joseph Mbu, at its next sitting on January 9, 2023 to answer a murder case hanging on his neck. At least, 33 wives of Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) fighters were reportedly slaughtered by Boko Haram adherents in Sambisa forest. Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto’o has apologised for his violent attack on Algerian Youtuber, a video of which has gone viral on social media since Tuesday morning. The images show the current president of the Cameroonian Football Federation dryly hit in the face by a cameraman, falling backwards.
