No fewer than 76 persons are reportedly missing in a boat mishap in Umunnankwo community, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State. The incident, which reportedly occurred on Saturday, has thrown the community and neighbouring town into mourning as nine persons were said to have been rescued. Hackers have hit a blockchain linked to Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, by a $570 million, Binance said in a statement on Friday, October 7. The Court of Appeal, Abuja has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off its strike immediately. The court, however, granted the application on the condition that the union obeys the lower court’s ruling and calls off the strike immediately, pending the determination of the substantive suit. The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), on Thursday, failed to reach a compromise as advised by the Court of Appeal in attempt to end the eight-month-old strike.
