Peter Obi is the leading Presidential candidate to become Nigeria’s next President, an opinion poll commissioned by Bloomberg News shows. The presidential election scheduled for February next year is expected to be a three-horse race between Labour Party’s Obi, the All Progressives Congress’ Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar. For an umpteenth time, Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has failed to fly as Yobe North Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Bashir Machina. Lawan has represented the area in both House of Representatives and Senate for more than 23 years.
