Akiama Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State was thrown into mourning as a widow lost her two sons in a canal on Saturday, February 19.  The siblings, aged 10 and 7, were children of a widow, Mrs. Ogechukwu Thankgod, whose husband, a dealer in interior decoration materials, died about two years ago. It was gathered that corpses of the two children were discovered lying on the mud after the river had ebbed. Nigerian musician, Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu has been slammed a N10 million suit over an alleged breach of contractual obligation to perform live at the grand opening festival of Resorts Carabana in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II has received artefacts worth £2.5 million from President Muhammadu Buhari, 125 years after they were looted by British troops during the invasion of Benin Kingdom. The returned artefacts, comprising a cockerel (okpa) and an Oba head (Uhunwun Elao), were repatriated from Cambridge University, Jesus College, and University of Aberdeen, Scotland, respectively.
