The 73-kilometre Aba-Ikot Ekpene Road in Abia and Akwa Ibom States is one of the 21 federal roads approved by Federal Executive Council for reconstruction across the six geopolitical zones of the country. The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) had decried the loss of its members and properties to dilapidated roads, but NNPC appealed to the union to shelve the planned strike and accepted to rebuild some of the roads. Twitter said it recorded $536.8 million loss or 67 cent per share, in the third quarter of 2021, according to its financial results released Tuesday. Alphabet, Google’s parent company, posted better-than-expected third quarter results on Tuesday, with total revenues shooting to $65.1 billion or 41 per cent.
