Enugu State Traditional Rulers’ Council has outlawed girl-child marriage and other obnoxious practices against women and girls. The Indonesian government has formally apologised to the Federal Government of Nigeria over the manhandling of a Nigerian diplomat in the South-East Asia country. A video that went viral last weekend showed two Indonesian Immigration officers manhandling an accredited Nigerian diplomat, Mohammed Buba. An Akwa Ibom son, Umoh attended Accra Polytechnic, and Methodist University College, both in Ghana, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting respectively. Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) has indicated its readiness to pay N45.9 billion to Ogoni people in Rivers State. This came as an Abuja Federal High Court presided over by Justice Ahmed Mohammed ordered the company to pay the sum to the affected within 21 days.
