India has recorded 2,020 COVID-19-related deaths in a single day, as the country continued its attempts to control the latest wave of the pandemic sweeping the globe. The Nigerian Senate has approved fresh external loans of $1.5 billion and €995 millio for the federal government and states in the country. Suspected gunmen abducted 23 students of Greenfield University in Kaduna State on Wednesday, a family member of one of the missing students said.
