The dreaded COVID-19 has consumed 20 medical doctors within seven days in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory. Addressing a press briefing on Friday, Enema Amodu, chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in FCT said the doctors died of Coronavirus complications. Nigeria’s new COVID-19 infections fell to 712 against the number in the previous day, while Akwa Ibom recorded 16 on Christmas Day. So far, Nigeria’s COVID-19 confirmed cases have risen to 82,747 while the number in Akwa Ibom has jumped to 409, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. An undisclosed source told Straightnews that Nkanga, 68, died on the Christmas Eve.
