Nigerian Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has consoled Oyo State government, people and victims over the explosion that rocked Bodija, Ibadan on Tuesday. The Old Bodija, off Adeyi area of Ibadan, in Nigeria’s Oyo State is in disarray as deadly explosion killed some people, injured others and destroyed several houses. The loud explosion reverberated the area has caused significant destruction in Bodija and resulting in injuries, according to witnesses. As Shell exits exploration in Nigeria, it has reached an agreement to sell its Nigerian onshore subsidiary, the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), to Renaissance. Tragedy struck as a heavy-duty truck laden with sand collided with the moving vehicle of a popular radio presenter, Deborah Ohamara along the busy Airport Road in Lugbe, Abuja, claiming her life from the crash.
