A mother and daughter, who refused to take COVID-19 vaccine, have died weeks apart in same hospital’s ward after contracting the virus. A 32-year-old mother of four, Sammie-Jo Forde died in Ulster Hospital, on the outskirts of east Belfast, Ireland on Saturday, September 11, after her 55-year-old mother Heather Maddern died on August 31, just two beds away from her. The woman and daughter, who lived together, also worked alongside each other as care assistants. Both contracted COVID-19 and were admitted to hospital. Nigeria’s public debt stock stood at N35.465 trillion as at June 30, Director-General of the Debt Management Office, DMO, Ms. Patience Oniha, stated Wednesday. Total Public Debt comprises the domestic and external debt of the Federal Government, the 36 state governments and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. Nigeria’s total public debt stock was N33.107 trillion or USD87.239 billion, as at March 31, 2021. Nine people died one day after drowning in choppy Mediterranean seas in the south of France, say authorities. The victims were all swept out to sea while they were swimming in waters which had been stirred up by a combination of storms and high winds. The incidents occurred at five beaches in Hérault, two beaches in the Bouches-du-Rhône area, in the south west of France and at two beaches in the Aude region.
