Akwa Ibom State government has expressed disappointment at failure of relevant federal government agencies to implement decisions aimed at resolving the perennial boundary crises between states. The state Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo recalled that a previous resolution reached on the siting of a military base at the troubled border between Akwa Ibom and Cross River at the Itu end in December 2019, was yet to be effected. Akwa Ibom High Court in Uyo has ordered the police command to pay a N4 million compensation for detention and torture of a man who claimed he caught a policeman sleeping with his wife in his house. Clement Asuquo Etim, a businessman said he caught a policeman identified as Chief Superintendent of Police, Celestine Umeh at night in his matrimonial home at Aba Ukpo Estate in Uyo.
