Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sued the Federal Government and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed for compelling broadcast media to discontinue with Twitter. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on another strike over the refusal of the Accountant-General of the Federation to pay their salaries. The UN General Assembly has condemned Myanmar’s military coup and called for an arms embargo against the country. This was contained in a resolution demonstrating widespread global opposition to the junta and demanding the restoration of the country’s democratic transition.
