At least, seven soldiers and one Joint Task Force civilian have been feared dead following a landmine ambush in the northern axis of Borno State on Saturday. The deceased, who were on escort duty en-route Baga, came upon the landmines planted by suspected Boko Haram members followed by heavy gunfire on the convoy. The African football governing body boss has been found guilty of some unethical procedures. Consequently, FIFA’s Independent Ethics Committee has handed the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad, a five-year ban from all football-related activities. More than 800 bags of smuggled rice were seized by the Joint Task Force, Border Drill Operations in Unyenghe, Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
