The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has described any officer who insists on checking a citizen’s phone as a scavenger.

A Twitter user had asked him if the police had right to check one’s phone on the road.
The Twitter user asked:
“Sir, please does a police have right to check phone if I am on the road?
