Police in India blamed rats for eating nearly 200kg of cannabis seized from criminals and kept in police stations. A court heard how the rodents had in some cases eaten the marijuana being kept as evidence. The judge cited three cases in which marijuana was destroyed by rodents. The Appeal Court, Yola Division in Adamawa State, has ordered  the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately publish the name of Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani as Adamawa All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate. The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Akanimo Udofia, has challenged the state government to address Ibom Air ownership, funding and profitability. The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has granted leave to Senator Godswill Akpabio as an interested party to appeal the judgement of the Court in the Supreme Court.
